The Major Arcana Workshop - The Tarot of Justice On 9/11/11 the Tarot of study and discussion will the the tarot of Justice, Trump of Libra. Class will meet at 1055 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204 in the lovely meeting room in the back of the shop. The study deck for all classes is the Hermetic Tarot by Godfrey Dowson. As well, Ann George will bring two new visual aids to class, a very lovely meditation and teaching tool in the form of The Alchemical Star as well as the Tree of Life poster by the accomplished artist and instructor Paul Guess. This Sunday, 2/13/11, the  Major Arcana Intensive  continues with the study of The Heirophant.     Those who have been able to attend previous classes will certainly enjoy this in depth exploration of the Tarot that moves on the pillar of Force from the Sphere of Chokmah to the the Sphere of Chesed. The Empress: Manifestation of The Feminine Balance All are welcome to join the ongoing Major Arcana Workshop that will meet this Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM at The Midnight Sun, 1055 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. Professional Tarot Consultant Ann George will teach this two hour intensive that reveals the origins of interpretation of the Tarot of the Empress. The Empress is the second feminine Tarot in the Major Arcana, and the importance of a right understanding of the many possible interpretations of the archetype cannot be under stated. The study deck for the course is The Hermetic Tarot Deck , which is available  for purchase at The Midnight Sun . The fee for the the class is $15 - Cash.  The Workshop will continue until all the Major Arcana have been covered. As we are still in the early stages of the intensive, now is a very good time to become a part of this vital workshop. A question and answer period is included in the class.

All are welcome to attend the monthly Tarot class in the lovely Studio at The Midnight Sun today from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Class fee is $15 cash. The Midnight Sun in located at 1044 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. Professional Tarot consultant and clairvoyant reader Ann George will teach Tarot from the Hermetic perspective for the first hour of the class. The second hour is a question and answer session on Tarot and other metaphysical topics. Students decide what aspect of Tarot to study, and the class is conducted accordingly. Last class, the focus was on how to interpret the spread of cards, and the best spreads to use to gain a clear understanding of the matter on the table. Some cushions are provided for sitting.  You are welcome to bring your own meditation cushion and your favorite Tarot deck as well.

The Tarot Class usually held the Second Sunday of every month will not be taught in February. Ann George will be attending Losar celebrations on that day. The Tarot Class & Discussion Group meets September 13, 2009, at 1055 Park Street, in The Midnight Sun. Class will be offered on the second Sunday of every month at The Midnight Sun. From 1:15 PM until 3:15 PM Ann will teach from the Tarot Intensive course outline posted on her site. Classes will begin from the Hermetic point of view, but are not limited to that theory. Tarot instruction is offered from 1:15 until 2:15 PM. Each class will be followed by a question and answer period & group discussion from 2:15 PM until 3:15 PM. This Salon should facilitate a discussion of all aspects of Tarot and metaphysics. The class fee is $15 per class/salon. Reservations are not needed, but are greatly appreciated. One benefit of the ongoing class format is that students are welcome to participate as they are able. As well, each class opens with a request for topics for the day. Please feel welcome to visit as more intensive and specific discussions of Tarot will occur there. I am also pleased to say that beginning in August, 2009, a Tarot Class will be offered the second Sunday of every month at 1055 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida. This will be a two hour class that begins at 1:15 and ends promptly at 3:15 PM as The Midnight Sun closes at 4:00 on Sundays. The first portion of the class will be "formal" instruction in the origin of interpretation of Tarot, or a specific card group and their meaning, moving forward to gradually included a teaching on each of the 78 Tarot in the deck.
